Hotel Information:
The Flamingo anchors the famous four corners of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, with glittering casinos, free shows, and other Strip attractions within easy reach. The notorious Bugsy Siegel opened the original Flamingo in 1946, paving the way for modern Las Vegas. (Flamingo was the nickname of Siegels red-haired, long-legged girlfriend Virginia Hill.) The original hotel is gone, but the Flamingo still appeals to nonstop partiers. Families also find a warm welcome here.

The hotels 17,000-square-foot spa includes men's and women's relaxation lounges with plasma televisions; wet and dry saunas; steam rooms; and hot, warm, and cool spa tubs. Use of spa facilities is available for a daily charge or is complimentary with a treatment.
The 80-foot-long scallop-edged Flamingo Pool, open year-round, is surrounded by rental cabanas and huge flamingo statues. A giant lagoon pool features a swim-in grotto behind a triple waterfall. Set in a terraced garden ponds, streams, and waterfalls, the hotels Wildlife Habitat is home to exotic ducks, cranes, and Chilean flamingos. Admission is complimentary. |

Getting around: Complimentary shuttle service is available to the hotel's partner properties Caesar's Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, and Harrah's Las Vegas. From early morning till after midnight, the Las Vegas Monorail ($5 for one ride, $9 for two rides, $35 for 10 rides, $15 for one-day pass, $40 for three-day pass) makes seven stops along the resort corridor, including one at this hotel and another at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Las Vegas Strip Trolley operates along The Strip and to the convention center from mid-morning till after midnight. Public buses operate along The Strip and to downtown Las Vegas. Taxis are available at the hotel.

Activities
Five pools, a childrens pool, and three freeform spa tubs are set in a 15-acre garden. The heated, 80-foot-long, scallop-edged Flamingo Pool, open year-round, is surrounded by huge flamingo statues on pedestals and rental cabanas furnished with phones, TVs, and ceiling fans. A 150-foot water slide leads to three terraced pools connected by short water slides. A sprawling lagoon pool, featuring a swim-in grotto behind a triple waterfall, completes the complex.Four tennis courts (surcharge) are lighted for night play.
Harrah's Rio Secco Golf Club, 14 miles from the hotel, offers preferential tee times to Flamingo guests. The18-hole championship course is set among the foothills of the Black Mountains. Equipment rentals and the Butch Harmon Golf School are available at the golf club.
